Jamie Fitzpatrick is a writer and broadcaster in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
His first novel, You Could Believe in Nothing, is published by Vagrant Press. An earlier draft of the novel won the Fresh Fish Award for Emerging Writers from the Literary Arts Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Jamie is host and producer of CBC Radio’s Performance Hour, a showcase for music and the arts in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The CBC is also where his fiction first appeared, when he was commissioned to write and narrate a series of vignettes for a radio series.
He began his career as a sports writer, and is currently an online hockey columnist for the About.com network. Other recent publications include a turn as essayist and guest editor at the literary journal The New Quarterly.
